Tim McOsker

Tim McOsker currently serves as a City Council Member for the City of Los Angeles, a position held since December 2022. Prior to this role, Tim was the Chief Executive Officer of AltaSea at the Port of Los Angeles from February 2018 to January 2022. Tim also owned The McOsker Group from August 2019 to March 2021 and was a partner at Glaser Weil LLP from November 2013 to August 2019, where Tim co-chaired the Government and Regulatory Affairs Practice and opened the firm's downtown Los Angeles branch. Tim's legal career includes positions as a partner at Mayer Brown and Christensen, Glaser, Fink, Jacobs, Weil & Shapiro, LLP. Tim previously served as Chief of Staff to Mayor Hahn for the City of Los Angeles from July 2001 to June 2005, managing the office's daily operations, and as Chief Deputy City Attorney from September 1997 to June 2001, overseeing a large staff of attorneys. Tim earned a J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles - School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and English from the University of Notre Dame.
