Andrew D. Schauer has a diverse legal background with extensive experience in public service and law enforcement representation. Currently serving as County Board Supervisor and First Vice Chair for Dane County since April 2014, Schauer previously worked as Senior Staff Attorney for the Wisconsin Professional Police Association from 2007 to 2023, where responsibilities included representing over 10,000 law enforcement personnel, negotiating disputes, and litigating cases in various courts. Schauer's earlier roles include Associate Attorney at Jeffrey S Hynes & Associates, advocating for victims of workplace discrimination, and Legal Secretary at Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. Schauer holds a Doctor of Law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School and a Bachelor of Arts with Honors from Marquette University.
