John Nield

John Nield is an experienced financial professional with a diverse background in municipal finance and corporate accounting. Currently serving as the Financial Planning Manager and City Clerk for the City of Marysville, WA since January 2012, John oversees a department of six and directs Utility Billing and Customer Service operations. Prior to this role, John worked as a Financial Analyst for the City of Marysville from 2008 to 2012, preparing financial reports and managing annual budgets exceeding $30 million. John's earlier experience includes positions as a Business Systems Analyst at Starbucks Coffee Company and Senior Accountant at both Comcast Cable and Millennium Digital Media. John began the career as an Accountant at TCI Cable. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Central Washington University, earned between 1987 and 1992.
