Beau Buford currently serves as Fire Chief for the City of Maumelle, Arkansas, a position held since August 2022. Previously, Buford was Command Sergeant Major for the 330th Medical Brigade until August 2023 and served as Assistant Fire Chief for the North Little Rock Fire Department from August 2017 to August 2022. Buford's extensive military experience includes roles as Command Sergeant Major for both the US Army (active duty) and the United States Army Reserve, alongside leadership positions managing emergency medical teams in crisis situations, notably after the Haitian earthquake in 2010. Buford has a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Arkansas State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, and Emergency Medicine from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, along with various other educational credentials in military and emergency medical training.
