Michael Machado is a seasoned GIS professional with extensive experience in geographic information systems. Currently serving as the GIS Coordinator for the City of Merced since January 2017, Michael coordinates various GIS program activities and participates in the city website committee to implement web-based mapping systems. Previous roles include GIS Technician at Merced County and a GIS/Remote Sensing Intern at E. & J. Gallo Winery, where responsibilities encompassed data processing, analysis, and geo-referencing. Michael also gained experience as a Student Research Assistant at California State University's Office of Institutional Research, creating maps for student distribution, and as an Undergraduate Research Intern for USDA Careers, focusing on watershed research. Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Geography/GIS from California State University, Stanislaus.
