Karen Crane

Karen Crane has extensive experience in tourism, economic development, and business management. Since August 2003, Karen has served as the Tourism & Economic Development Manager for the City of Merriam, Kansas, where responsibilities include planning and implementing programs to promote visitor and economic development. Prior to this, Karen was the Executive Vice President/Executive Director at the NEJC Chamber from June 1999 to August 2003, focusing on local business growth and development. Karen also held the position of Business Manager at Sunflower House from August 1994 to June 1999, managing operational and financial aspects of a child advocacy center. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management and General Studies from Friends University, an Associate's degree in Business Administration & Management from Brown Mackie College, and a Master of Business Administration from Pittsburg State University.
