Sevanne Steiner

Sevanne Steiner is an experienced planning professional currently serving as the Assistant Director of Planning for the City of Miami since September 2022, overseeing comprehensive planning and land development. Previously, Sevanne held the position of Planning Manager at the City of Fort Worth from January 2012 to August 2022, managing zoning and land use appeals, while also acting as senior staff for downtown urban design initiatives. Prior experience includes serving as a Building Plans Examiner and Architectural Historian for the City of New Orleans from August 2007 to January 2012, where responsibilities included reviewing construction projects for compliance with regulations. Additionally, Sevanne worked as a Historic Preservation Planner for River Valley Regional Planning Commission from April 2006 to August 2007, providing planning services across an eight-county region. Academic credentials include a Master of Fine Arts in Historic Preservation from Savannah College of Art and Design and a Bachelor of Arts in History from The University of Alabama.
