The City of Middletown Police Department consists of almost 100 sworn and unsworn personnel dedicated to providing the highest degree of public service.  We are a professional agency which has been in existence for well over 120 years.  As a city police agency, we started with 8 officers when the City of Middletown was incorporated in 1888.  We are proud to be accredited by the New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services.  We have grown exponentially over the last century to meet the ever-increasing demand for safety and service in a city estimated to have over 30,000 residents.
