Arthur Belton has extensive experience in fire service and emergency management, currently serving as Deputy Chief/Fire Marshal for the City of Milpitas since May 2022. Previous roles include Battalion Chief/Assistant Fire Marshal and Captain with the San José Fire Department from February 2015 to May 2022 and December 2000 to February 2015, respectively. Additionally, Arthur contributed to the San Francisco Paramedic Association as an instructor from 1994 to 2014 and volunteered as an instructor for Operation Smile from 2002 to 2010, teaching medical classes globally. Earlier experience includes serving as Testing Coordinator for the UCSF-Urban Health Study from 1992 to 1998, managing testing for an epidemiological study in high-risk populations. Arthur holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Behavior from the University of San Francisco, earned between 1993 and 1996.
