Adrienne Bockheim

Adrienne Bockheim, AICP has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Adrienne is currently working at the City of Minneapolis as a Principal City Planner/Designer since October 2019. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior City Planner at the same organization from June 2017 to October 2019.

Before joining the City of Minneapolis, Adrienne worked at the New York City Department of Transportation as a City Planner II from February 2016 to April 2017.

Adrienne also gained extensive experience at Cuningham Group, where they held the position of Urban Planner/Designer II from October 2013 to August 2015. At Cuningham Group, Adrienne was responsible for engaging communities in the development and creation of visionary but implementable plans, such as small area plans, corridor plans, redevelopment plans, master plans, and form-based codes. Adrienne engaged in a wide range of research techniques to address urban issues and conducted research related to green infrastructure and safety in parks.

Adrienne also has experience as a Technical Illustrator at Oliver + S, a company that designs contemporary sewing patterns for children's clothing. Adrienne drew the patterns' technical illustrations from June 2008 to June 2013, providing step-by-step instructions for clothing assembly and sewing.

Adrienne's academic background includes a teaching assistant role at the University of Minnesota from 2009 to 2010, where they led discussions, lectures, and field trips for landscape architecture undergraduate students. Adrienne also served as a Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota College of Design's Metropolitan Design Center in May 2009 and as a Merchandise Coordinator at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts from 2007 to 2008.
