Andrea Jenkins is a City Council Member and President of the Minneapolis City Council, serving since January 2018, with a notable role as Vice President. Previous experience includes working as an Oral Historian for The Transgender Oral History Project at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities from April 2015 to January 2018, and as a Senior Policy Aide for the City of Minneapolis from January 2006 to March 2015. Jenkins has contributed to the arts as a Curator for the Queer Voices Reading Series through Intermedia Arts from 2005 to January 2018.
