Angie Skildum has a diverse work experience spanning from 1993 to the present. Angie started their career as a Legislative Assistant at the Minnesota House of Representatives and then joined the Family Housing Fund in 1997 as the Multifamily Policy & Portfolio Director. In this role, they led and managed numerous collaborative policy initiatives and was responsible for strategy development, project implementation, budgets, and partnership management.
In 2016, Angie started their own consulting firm called Skildum Strategies, where they offered consulting services to nonprofits, foundations, community leaders, and mission-driven organizations. Their services included project management, strategic planning, business writing, program design, change management, and grant review.
During the same year, they also joined the City of Minneapolis as the Manager of Residential Finance in the Housing Policy and Development division. In this role, they planned, administered, and monitored financing programs and projects aimed at improving affordable housing in Minneapolis. Angie developed policies on housing issues, collaborated with business, development, and financing partners, and implemented programs and financial mechanisms to assist housing development, preservation, and redevelopment.
Angie's most recent position was as the Director of Development Finance at the City of Minneapolis, which they started in 2021. In this role, they managed and oversaw the operations of the Development Finance Division within the Finance & Property Services Department. Angie administered the City's tax increment financing program and housing improvement area program, as well as overseeing housing and economic development loan portfolio services, development grant services, and citizen participation loan activities.

Angie Skildum holds a Master's degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Economics from Grinnell College. Additionally, they have obtained a certification in Housing Development Finance Professional from the National Development Council.
