Cherie Shoquist

Cherie Shoquist is an experienced professional in housing and economic development, currently serving as the Manager of Residential & Real Estate Development at the City of Minneapolis since August 2024. Prior roles include Program Officer at Family Housing Fund, Housing and Economic Development Manager at the City of Golden Valley, and Housing and Redevelopment Authority Analyst at the City of Bloomington. Cherie held the position of Deputy Director of the Rent Stabilization Board in Berkeley and contributed significantly as a Principal Project Coordinator for the City of Minneapolis. Earlier experience includes serving as a Housing Policy Specialist at the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency and practicing law as a Staff Attorney at Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid. Cherie holds a Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Minnesota, and participated as a Policy Fellow at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs.
