Firye Bediye

Firye Bediye, MPH, serves as a Public Health Specialist with the City of Minneapolis since May 2022, focusing on contracting and procurement for the Minneapolis Green Cost Share program aimed at enhancing urban sustainability. Previously, Firye held roles including Program Assistant at Urban Scholars, where programming was organized for the internship initiative, and Program Analyst with the Minneapolis Health Department, where a needs assessment on wellbeing programming was conducted. Experience spans various positions related to public health, including teaching assistance for undergraduate courses at the University of Minnesota, fellowships with Los Angeles Walks and UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, and work as a Regulatory Analyst for the City of Minneapolis. Firye holds a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Environmental Health and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Minnesota.
