Kathleen Mayell is an experienced planning professional with a focus on transportation and community development. Currently serving as Transportation Planning Manager for the City of Minneapolis since April 2016, Kathleen has held various leadership roles, including Investment Planning Director and Senior Planner at the Minnesota Department of Transportation from 2012 to 2016. Previous experience includes being a Senior Planner for Transportation & Infrastructure with the City of Somerville, a Rappaport Public Policy Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School, and an Associate at Project for Public Spaces. Kathleen's educational background includes a Master of City Planning with an Urban Design Certificate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BA in Urban Studies and Hispanic Language from Boston University.
