Northside Fresh Assistant Coordinator - Promise Zone Initiative at City of Minneapolis

Mariah Mendoza is an experienced professional dedicated to improving food access and community development in Minneapolis. Currently serving as the Northside Fresh Assistant Coordinator for the City of Minneapolis since May 2016, Mariah focuses on enhancing the capacity of the Northside Fresh Coalition to promote healthy eating and food security. Previous roles include founding Operation: Move for School to improve nutrition in underdeveloped communities and participating as an Urban Scholar for both the City of Minneapolis and the Metropolitan Council of the Twin Cities. Mariah holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Georgetown University and has a background in educational support as a Teacher's Aide at Joyce Preschool. Mariah's work is characterized by community engagement, effective communication, and the pursuit of sustainable solutions for local challenges.
