Meg McMahan, AICP serves as the Planning Director for the City of Minneapolis since October 2022. Previously, Meg held the position of Community Development Director for the City of Brooklyn Center from February 2018 to October 2022, and served as the Community Development Coordinator for the City of Hopkins from May 2013 to February 2018. Prior roles include City Planner and Planner 1 for the City of Arden Hills from September 2007 to May 2013, and Community Development Intern at the City of Eden Prairie from April 2006 to August 2007. Meg also worked as a Research Assistant at the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs between August 2006 and May 2007. Meg McMahan holds a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning with a focus on Community Development and Urban Design from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Urban Studies from Hamline University.
