Peter Woeste

Peter Woeste is an experienced GIS and data analysis professional with a diverse background spanning over a decade. Currently serving as a Utility Locator/GIS Technician with the City of Minneapolis since April 2021, Peter previously worked as a Transportation Asset Management Technician at Hennepin County, where responsibilities included maintaining the Transportation Asset Management System and updating GIS maps. Earlier roles encompass multiple positions at the City of Minneapolis as a Crime Analyst, applying GIS to enhance crime prevention strategies, and a Freeway Data Analyst at the Minnesota Department of Transportation focused on safety and mobility measures. Peter's career also includes experience in GIS marketing and account management with East View Geospatial and a foundational role as an educator and program coordinator. Peter holds a Master of Science in Geographic Information Science from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
