Joseph Zalescik

Joseph Zalescik has a diverse professional background with extensive experience in both public service and media. Currently serving as an Executive Board Member and Events Chairman for The Greater Mount Airy Chamber of Commerce and as an At Large City Commissioner for the City of Mount Airy, North Carolina, Zalescik has also owned Station 1978 Firehouse Peanuts LLC since March 2020. With a long-standing career in journalism, Zalescik has been a Photojournalist for Country Music Scene since 1992 and is a member of the Country Music Association in Nashville, TN. Previous roles include Vice Chairman for the Hamilton Township Fire Commissioners Association and Chairman of the Board for the Board of Fire Commissioners Hamilton Township Fire District 3, along with serving as a Media Specialist for Capital Health for 37 years. Education includes an Associate's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Mercer County Community College.
