Ernest Richardson currently serves as the Union President for the Mount Vernon Fire Department, a role held since January 2024. In addition, Richardson has been a College Football Official for the Northeast 10 Football Conference since June 2015 and the Head Varsity Baseball Coach at Mount Vernon High School since December 2011. Richardson's extensive experience in the fire service spans from February 2003 as a Firefighter and Fire Commissioner for the City of Mount Vernon. Prior military service includes enlistment in the United States Marines from July 1995 to June 1999.
