Shayne Brooks

Shayne Brooks has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and sectors. Starting in 2007, they worked at Westhab, Inc. as an Employment Case Manager and later became a Case Management Supervisor. In this role, they supervised a team and connected clients to social services. In 2016, they joined WestCOP as an Area Director, where they were responsible for developing plans and managing budgets. From 2017 to 2022, Shayne worked at the City of Mount Vernon, NY, first as the Director of Social & Community Outreach and later as the Director of Sustainability & Community Engagement. In these roles, they established partnerships, improved mentoring programs, and managed sustainability initiatives. They also made efforts to improve data collection for marginalized populations. In 2022, Shayne joined Empire Clean Cities as a Member of the Board of Directors.

Shayne Brooks completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Communication/Public Relations from the University at Buffalo between the years 1999 and 2003.
