Steven Lane is an experienced fire safety professional currently serving as Fire Marshal and Fire Inspector for the City of New Smyrna Beach since July 2021. With a robust background in fire training and inspection, Steven has held various positions including Adjunct Instructor at the Allegheny County Fire Academy, training fire service programs, and serving as Fire Safety Manager at Carnegie Mellon University, where fire safety surveys were conducted. Previous roles include Fire Inspector for the City of Edgewater, Fire Inspector II at the Code Enforcement Agency, and a lengthy tenure as Lieutenant/EMT for Mt. Lebanon Municipality. Steven's academic credentials include a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety & Health from Columbia Southern University.
