Danielle Amira is an experienced finance professional with a career spanning over a decade in various accounting and finance roles within municipal government. Currently serving as Assistant Finance Director at the City of New Ulm/New Ulm Public Utilities since February 2020, Danielle previously held the position of Accountant at the City of Prior Lake and served as Accountant/Interim Finance Director at the City of Orono, where essential financial guidance and reporting were provided to city departments. Earlier experience includes managing the general ledger at Sibley County and coordinating budgeting processes at the University of Minnesota's Williamson Hall Cluster. Danielle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Minnesota and participated in a study abroad program in Florence, Italy.

New Ulm is a progressive town, with agriculture, industries, retail stores, progressive parochial and public schools, including a private college, and a population of nearly 14,000 people. The City of New Ulm, in County of Brown, and State of Minnesota is a municipal corporation operating under the Home Rule Charter. The City Administration offices include the City Manager's office and the Office of the Mayor. The Mayor, as the Chief Executive officer for the City of New Ulm, conducts official mayoral business from City Hall. The daily affairs of the City of New Ulm and New Ulm Public Utilities Commission are administered through the office of the City Manager. The New Ulm Public Utilities provides electric, water, district energy, natural gas, and wastewater service to residents and businesses in the New Ulm area. It is our continuing endeavor to serve the public as a nonprofit organization providing our customers with high quality, safe and efficient services at the lowest possible cost, while promoting conservation and responsible management of resources.
