Amanda Mackaay is a skilled Development Planner with diverse experience in urban planning and development. Currently, Amanda serves as a Development Planner for the City of New Westminster since March 2022. Prior to this role, Amanda was a Development Coordinator at Townline, contributing from March 2021 to February 2022, and held the position of Planning Strategist at MXD Development Strategists Ltd from May 2018 to February 2021, focusing on economically viable development strategies across North America. Amanda has also gained research experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Centre for Urban Research and Land Development and as a Planning Intern with the City of Toronto's Housing Policy Department. Earlier in the career, Amanda worked as an Operations Associate at Great-West Life and an Administrative Assistant at Glencore Copper. Amanda holds a Master's Degree in Urban Planning and Development from Ryerson University, a Diploma of Technology in Business Administration and Management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The University of British Columbia.
