Shama Khan

Shama Khan currently serves as Vice President and Treasurer of OPEN Silicon Valley since July 2022, building on extensive experience in community development as a Community Preservation Specialist for the City of Newark, California since August 2015. With a deep commitment to promoting entrepreneurship within the Pakistani-American community, Shama has held multiple roles within OPEN Silicon Valley, including General Secretary from July 2017 to June 2019 and VP of Event Logistics & Operations. As President and CEO of Ustadonline.com, Shama oversees an online teaching platform designed for students of all ages. Previous positions include Drought Specialist for the City of Milpitas and Planning and Zoning in the City of Orinda, along with a tenure as Vice President at Arshco from 2003 to 2012. Shama Khan holds a Master's degree in Architecture from The Catholic University of America, along with education from Laney College and the Sacramento Valley Association of Building Officials.
