Micheal Gillens

Micheal Gillens serves as a Police Lieutenant for the City of Newark since March 2009, overseeing sergeants, patrolmen, and civilian personnel while addressing civilian complaints both departmentally and criminally. In addition, Micheal has worked as a Security Consultant for Garden State Check Cashiers since April 1999, where responsibilities include procuring security for seven store locations and ensuring the safety of managers and executives. Educational credentials include a Certificate of Completion in the Tactical Interviewing Program from The College of New Jersey (2013), a Certificate of Training in VIP Protection for Law Enforcement from the Executive Protection Institute (2006), and studies in Criminal Justice and Early Childhood Education from Essex County College. Education was completed at East Side High School from 1975 to 1979.
