Michael Paris

Michael Paris serves as the Assistant Director and Bureau Manager for the Economic Development Department in the City of Norfolk, VA, since October 2012, leading initiatives in business retention, expansion, and workforce services. Paris has held various roles within the Norfolk Department of Economic Development, including Senior Business Development Manager and Business Development Manager, where significant contributions included launching citywide workforce development programs. Additionally, Paris serves as Secretary-Treasurer for the Economic Development Authority of the City of Norfolk. With a strong educational background, including a Master of Business Administration from Regent University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Old Dominion University, Paris is well-equipped to drive strategic economic development initiatives.
