Paul Perry, CD, has extensive work experience in various roles related to firefighting and emergency response. Paul began their career in 1988 in the Canadian Armed Forces as an Infantryman and later served as a Boatswain. Paul then transitioned to the role of Damage Control Instructor, where they updated their firefighting skills and instructed sailors in damage repair at sea.

In 2005, Paul became a Professional Firefighter in the Canadian Armed Forces, assuming the role of Deputy Platoon Chief and prioritizing the work of personnel. Paul successfully managed fires on ships and pursued advanced firefighting studies.

After leaving the military, Paul joined Trojan Safety Services as an Industrial Firefighter, providing firefighting leadership on oil and gas sites. Paul worked in extreme conditions and delivered daily safety briefs to on-site personnel.

In 2013, Paul joined Canadian Nuclear Laboratories Ltd. Chalk River Laboratories as a Fire Training Officer. Paul conducted training sessions, prepared training curriculum, and integrated fire codes and rescue techniques. Paul also served as a Fire Prevention Officer, conducting inspections and providing guidance on building codes and standards.

From 2017 to 2019, Paul worked at OFMEM as a Lead Evaluator and IMS Instructor. Paul evaluated emergency response programs and provided instruction on Incident Management Systems.

Most recently, in 2022, Paul joined the City of North Battleford as the Deputy Fire Chief. Paul manages a team of firefighters, supervises fire service personnel, and plans training operations. Paul has established modern rescue techniques and improved fire prevention procedures.
