Emma House has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Emma started their career as a Ballet Teacher at Applause! Performance Academy in 2007. Emma then transitioned to positions at Kaiser Permanente, serving as a Coordinator, Administrative Support Human Resources from 2007 to 2008 and later as a Senior Management Assistant - Human Resources from 2002 to 2007. During their time at Kaiser Permanente, Emma contributed to HRIS/HRMS implementations and provided support to HR executives. Emma also worked at Georgia State University as an Assistant to the Director from 2008 to 2010 and at the Juneau School District as an Assistant to the Director, Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment from 2010 to 2011. In 2011, Emma joined Bartlett Regional Hospital, where they initially served as an Executive Assistant for Clinical Administration and later transitioned to the role of HR Generalist. Their responsibilities at the hospital included HRIS/HRMS implementation and clinical recruitment. Emma is currently employed as an Employee & Labor Relations Senior Consultant at Kaiser Permanente since 2021, where they contribute to labor management partnership. Additionally, they worked as the Human Resources Director at the City of Oak Harbor, WA from 2016, where they were involved in HRIS implementation, collective bargaining agreement negotiations, benefits administration, and strategic recruitment.

Emma House pursued a Bachelor's of Arts & Sciences degree in Dance from the University of Hawaii at Manoa from 1998 to 2001. Prior to that, from 1996 to 1998, they studied Business at the University of Alaska Southeast. Emma also obtained a diploma in Distributive Educational Clubs of America (DECA) from Juneau-Douglas High School from 1993 to 1997. In addition to their education, Emma House has obtained several certifications including Certified Labor Relations Professional (CLRP) from National PELRA in July 2019, Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) from CPHR BC & Yukon in December 2019, Society for Human Resource Management-Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from SHRM in August 2015, and International Public Management Association-Senior Certified Professional (IPMA-SCP) from IPMA-HR in December 2014.
