Jennifer Williams, AICP, is a Senior Planner at the City of Oak Ridge since August 2018, previously serving as a Regional Planner for the Southeast Tennessee Development District from August 2014 to August 2018. In this role, responsibilities included staffing local Planning Commissions, providing technical assistance in land use planning, writing grants, and maintaining public infrastructure databases. Earlier experience included a position as a Planning Intern, where contributions involved developing ordinances and assisting with historic preservation projects. Additionally, Jennifer worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia State University, managing student workers, creating metadata for archival materials, and curating a special exhibit. Jennifer holds a Master’s degree in Historic Preservation from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Science in History Education from Lee University.
