Mailee Wang has extensive administrative and leadership experience in public policy and community service. From November 2020 to June 2023, Mailee served as Deputy Chief of Administration for the City of Oakland's Department of Violence Prevention, managing various administrative operations including fiscal, budget, contracts, procurement, and human resources. During this time, Mailee also acted as the Deputy Chief, overseeing the department's budget growth from $9 million to $29 million. Prior to this role, Mailee was the Administrative Services Manager in the same department. Additionally, Mailee worked as the Program and Policy Director for Project WHAT! at Community Works West, where responsibilities included leading a leadership development and job-training program for youth with incarcerated parents. Mailee has been affiliated with several partnerships focused on children of incarcerated parents and was a Fellow at the Women's Policy Institute, gaining valuable experience in policy advocacy. Mailee holds a Master of Public Policy from Mills College and an Associate of Arts degree from City College of San Francisco.
