Pamela Mattera

Pamela Mattera currently serves as the Assistant Cultural Funding Coordinator for the City of Oakland, a position held since October 2024. Previously, Pamela worked as an Arts Program Fellow at the Kenneth Rainin Foundation from May 2022 to May 2023, and as the Director of Membership and Annual Fund at the Brooklyn Museum from September 2016 to March 2022. Other roles include Membership Manager at the New Museum of Contemporary Art, Assistant Membership Officer at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Senior Manager for Institutional Advancement at the Chinati Foundation. Pamela began their career in the museum sector at the Tenement Museum, progressing from Membership Associate to Membership Coordinator. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Museology/Museum Studies from the University of Leicester and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Boston College. Additionally, Pamela is a NextGen Fellow from the Museum Leadership Institute.
