Theresa Lopez is an experienced professional in urban economic development, currently serving as a Senior Project Manager/Urban Economic Coordinator for the City of Oakland since September 1995, where responsibilities include managing $46 million in bond funds for housing, commercial, and retail projects in the Central City East and Coliseum areas. Previously, Theresa held the position of Urban Economic Analyst III, focusing on the Neighborhood Commercial Revitalization Program, where initiatives included the EastLake Streetscape Improvement Program. Prior to this, Theresa worked as a consultant managing the East Bay Conservation Corps AmeriCorps Program and coordinated a consortium of non-profit organizations at The Unity Council. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Barnard College at Columbia University and two master's degrees in City Planning and Urban Planning from the University of California, Berkeley.
