Matthew Morris

Matthew Morris, EFO MBA, currently serves as Fire Chief for the City of Olympia since November 2023. With a background that includes serving as Fire Chief for the Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority and the Henderson Fire Department, Morris has extensive leadership experience in the fire service. Prior roles include Deputy Fire Chief and Battalion Chief at the City of Henderson Fire Department, and Firefighter Paramedic at the City of Henderson. Morris began a career in firefighting at Boulder City Fire Department and previously served in the US Navy. Educational achievements include a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the American Public University System, along with the Executive Fire Officer designation from the National Fire Academy.
