Wildfire Education And Outreach Coordinator at City of Orinda

James Duff is currently serving as the Wildfire Education and Outreach Coordinator for the City of Orinda since December 2022. Prior to this role, James worked as the Fire Adapted Communities Program Coordinator at the Austin Fire Department from March 2020 to November 2022, where responsibilities included raising public awareness about fire dangers and developing community resilience through Wildfire Risk Assessments and Community Wildfire Protection Plans. Additional experience includes serving as Field Coordinator for the Texas Conservation Corps and as a Crew Lead for the Student Conservation Association, where James managed conservation programs and facilitated trainings. James also held various roles including Bartender and Substitute Teacher earlier in the career, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2008.
