Orin McMonigle is an experienced water services professional with extensive knowledge in water purification and distribution systems. Currently serving as Water Division Superintendent for the City of Painesville since June 2020, Orin oversees a Class IV Water Purification Plant and a Class II Water Distribution System, handling responsibilities such as asset mapping and emergency contingency planning. Prior experience includes roles as Superintendent of Water Services at Big Island Water Works in Sandusky, where Orin managed operations of an 18 MGD water treatment facility and a water quality laboratory, and as Assistant Superintendent of Water Purification in Lorain. Orin began a career at Berea Water Plant, ascending from Shift Supervisor Water Supply Operator III, where responsibilities included treatment process determination and SCADA administration. Orin holds an Applied Management Degree from Cuyahoga Community College and has further education from The Ohio State University.

Settled in 1800, Painesville is the county seat of Lake County, Ohio and is located along the beautiful Grand River, roughly 30 miles northeast of Cleveland. Painesville is home to Lake Erie College, Morley Library and a dynamic historical downtown district. It is named after General Edward Paine who served in the Revolutionary War and settled in the area shortly after. Painesville has a population of over 19,000 per the 2010 census.
