Lead Communication + Engagement Strategist at City of Pasco

Laurel McQuade is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in public engagement and strategic communication. Currently serving as a Commissioner on the Landmarks Preservation Commission for the City of Tacoma since December 2022, Laurel oversees the establishment and regulation of local historic landmarks and districts. As the Lead Communication and Engagement Strategist for the City of Pasco since June 2022, Laurel develops and implements strategic communication initiatives that enhance the city's brand and foster resident engagement. Previously, Laurel held the position of Marketing & Economic Development for the City of Fife from June 2007 to March 2019, where responsibilities included comprehensive communication plans and public outreach efforts. Laurel began the career as a Sales Coordinator at the Wenatchee Valley Convention & Visitors Bureau and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations from Washington State University, along with advanced training in public information and graphic design.
