Kelly C. Ruffel is an experienced professional in the fields of education, cultural affairs, and historic preservation. Currently serving as an adjunct professor at Middlesex College and William Paterson University of New Jersey, Kelly also holds the position of Executive Director at Preservation New Jersey since December 2022. In addition, Kelly has been with the County of Passaic since September 2016, fulfilling roles such as Assistant County Administrator and Director of the Department of Cultural & Historic Affairs. As the Chairperson of the Paterson Preservation Commission since January 2013, Kelly has a strong commitment to community engagement and historic preservation. Kelly's educational background includes a Master of Arts in Public/Applied History and two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Anthropology and History, all from William Paterson University of New Jersey.
