Charles Lucas

Deputy Chief Building Official at City of Petaluma

Charles Lucas has extensive work experience in building inspection and building code enforcement. Charles began their career in 2003 as a Plans Examiner and Combination Inspector for the City of Cheyenne, Wyoming. In 2007, they joined the City of Lakewood as a Senior Plans Examiner and remained there until 2013. From 2013 to 2014, Lucas worked as a Building Inspector for the City of San Rafael. Charles then joined the City of Petaluma in 2014 and held various roles including Plans Examiner, Chief Building Official, and currently Deputy Chief Building Official.

Charles Lucas attended Colorado State University from 1977 to 1981, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Philosophy.
