Gerrit Vanvoorhees

Gerrit VanVoorhees is an experienced technology professional with a background in educational and municipal information technology management. Since August 2015, Gerrit has served as the Director of Information Technology for the City of Petersburg, VA. Prior experience includes holding the position of Director of Technology for King William County Public Schools from October 2009 to June 2015, and serving in a similar role for Cumberland County Schools from 2001 to 2009. Gerrit holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics, with minors in Philosophy and Mathematics, from Virginia Commonwealth University, earned between 1988 and 1992.
