City of Philadelphia
Kahlil Thomas currently serves as the Translation Quality Coordinator for the City of Philadelphia, a position held since April 2022, responsible for overseeing the quality of language access services and managing the City’s translation style guide and glossaries. Previously, Kahlil worked as a Bilingual Employment Advisor at JEVS Human Services, where duties included case management and client mentorship in multiple languages. Kahlil has experience in project management and linguistic analysis, along with teaching English and Spanish classes to parents at University Hill School. Additional roles include mentoring Black youth at the Crowley Foundation and serving as a sign language interpreter at The Potters House of Denver. Kahlil holds a Master of Arts in Linguistics and a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics, both from the University of Colorado Boulder.
