Miaya Darby

Miaya Darby is a highly experienced professional in small business resource management, currently serving as Senior Manager of the Small Business Resource Unit at the City of Philadelphia's Department of Commerce since July 2016. Responsibilities include managing and improving loan programs that disperse over $1 million in funding for small businesses, as well as supervising daily operations. Earlier roles include Manager of Business Financial Resources and Technical Assistance Unit, where Miaya developed and managed programs including a forgivable loan initiative and the Philadelphia Business Lending Network Incentive Grant Program. Miaya's career began as a Business Coach Program Coordinator, focusing on program development and community outreach. Miaya also gained professional experience through internships and student leadership positions at LIM College, where a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management was obtained in 2015.
