Pat Christmas

Pat Christmas has a diverse and extensive work experience. In 2008, they started working as a science teacher for The School District of Philadelphia until 2013. From 2013 to 2018, Pat held various roles at the Committee of Seventy, including Policy Program Manager, Chief Policy Officer, and Policy Director. They were responsible for policy analysis, advocacy campaigns, and supporting civic programming and communications. From 2013 to 2017, Pat also served as a Board Member for PhillyCORE Leaders, a coalition of rising education leaders in Philadelphia. Starting in 2015, Pat took on the role of a Member of the Board of Directors for SEAMAAC, a nonprofit organization supporting immigrants and refugees. In 2016, they also became a Board Member for the League of Women Voters of Philadelphia. Pat's involvement in policy and advocacy continued as a Board Member for the Election Law Advisory Board from 2021 to 2023. Prior to their current role, they served as a Policy Advisor for the Mayor-Elect Cherelle Parker Transition Committee. Currently, Pat is the Deputy Director of Policy Planning and Delivery for the City of Philadelphia, a position they have held since 2024.

Pat Christmas attended Swarthmore College from 2004 to 2008 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Education. Later, from 2011 to 2016, Pat pursued a Master's Degree at the University of Pennsylvania, specializing in a Certificate in Public Finance.
