Cydney Cooper

Cydney Cooper is an experienced communications professional currently serving as Interim Communications Director for the City of Pittsburgh, overseeing the Mayoral Communications Office and coordinating messaging with various stakeholders. Prior roles include City Correspondent, where proactive storytelling strategies were developed, and content management for Burgh Brides as a Content Creator and Social Media Manager. Cydney also hosted livestream shopping events for the Pittsburgh Steelers and managed production operations at Ya Momz House, Inc., an Emmy Award-winning agency. Additionally, Cydney has experience in public relations and journalism, having worked with the Shadyside Chamber of Commerce, Sparkt, and Gray Television. Educational qualifications include an M.B.A. and a Master's in Journalism and Mass Communications from Point Park University, as well as a Bachelor's in Public Relations from Penn State University.
