Jake Wheatley

Jake Wheatley is currently the Chief of Staff at the City of Pittsburgh. Jake previously served as the Minority Finance Committee Chairman from January 2015 to February 2022 at the PA General Assembly. Prior to that, they were a State Representative from January 2010 to December 2010 at Tavern 245. Jake also served as a State Representative from January 2003 to February 2022 at the Commonwealth of PA. From 1997 to 2011, they were a Field Instructor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work.

Jake Wheatley has a MPA from the University of Pittsburgh and a BA in Political Science from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.

They work with Maria Montaño - Press Secretary, Jake Pawlak - Deputy Mayor & Director of the Office of Management & Budget, and Karen Abrams - Director of City Planning. A direct report to Jake Wheatley is and Felicity Williams - Deputy Chief of Staff. Jake Wheatley reports to Ed Gainey, Mayor Ed Gainey.
