Mcj/Mpa Joseph Mercogliano

Joseph Mercogliano, MCJ/MPA, serves as an Adjunct Instructor at Broward College and an Advanced & Specialized Instructor at Tallahassee Community College. With extensive experience in law enforcement, Joseph has been a Police Officer with the City of Plantation since 1990, holding various positions including Police Academy Supervisor and Training Unit Coordinator. Additionally, Joseph acts as a Subject Matter Expert for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, contributing to curriculum development. As a past president of the Florida State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police, Joseph has held multiple executive board positions. Joseph is also an Active Shooter Instructor for civilians and teaches advanced first aid techniques through bleedingcontrol.org. Educationally, Joseph holds a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice and has participated in the Florida Leadership Academy, enhancing expertise in law enforcement administration.
