Karis Volk is a seasoned communications professional currently serving as the Communications Coordinator for the City of Plymouth since August 2020, where expertise in content creation for print and social media is utilized. Previous experience includes roles as a Communications Specialist at Verata Health and as a Marketing Communications & Fundraising Coordinator at Hennepin Healthcare, where skills in copywriting and multi-channel communications were honed. Additionally, Karis has a robust background in hockey coaching, mentoring youth and high school athletes, and is experienced in managing events and marketing initiatives through various roles at Snap Fitness 24/7 and the Pinky Swear Foundation. A graduate of St. Catherine University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Karis has cultivated strong skills in social media management, public relations, and graphic design throughout a diverse career.
