Ryan Barland is an experienced professional in the fields of history and heritage management, currently serving as the Historic Site Coordinator for the City of Plymouth since July 2023. Prior to this role, Ryan was the Minnesota Main Street Manager at Rethos from October 2022 to July 2023 and worked as an Oral Historian for the Minnesota Historical Society from November 2010 to April 2022. Ryan's career began with a position as a Graduate Assistant at the University of St. Thomas, followed by an internship at the National Museum of Ireland. Educationally, Ryan holds a Master of Arts in Art History from the University of St. Thomas, completed in 2011, and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and History from the University of Minnesota, obtained in 2008.
