Gary Long

Gary Long currently serves as the Director of Development and Government Relations for the City of Port Colborne, a position held since August 2020, and previously held the role of Manager of Strategic Initiatives. Prior experience includes serving as Chief Administrative Officer for both the City of Welland from January 2016 to July 2020 and the Municipality of Bluewater from September 2014 to October 2015, as well as the Township of North Huron from November 2009 to August 2014. Gary Long also worked as Managing Director/Senior Communications Advisor for the Office of Gary Schellenberger MP from May 2003 to November 2009 and as Communications and Policy Advisor for the Government of Ontario from August 1996 to May 2003. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Windsor, a Bachelor’s degree (Honours) in Political Science from King's University College, as well as an Executive Diploma in Municipal Management and a Certificate in Municipal Administration from AMCTO.
