Randy Wright has extensive experience in municipal management and law enforcement, currently serving as the City Manager for the City of Portland, Texas since October 2011, following a tenure as Assistant City Manager. Prior to this role, Randy served as Chief of Police for the Portland Texas Police Department from November 1995 to November 2012 and held the same title for the City of Ingleside, Texas from February 1992 to November 1995. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Management and a BBA in Business Management from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, as well as completion of the 142nd Session in Police Management at the FBI National Academy in 1984.
